The vaccine is administered through a single dose. A booster dose is not necessary but may still be required in some countries. If you have severe allergies to eggs and poultry products please contact your doctor.
The vaccines should not be given to children under 6 months.
Children from 6-9 months should only be immunised under special circumstances.
Caution in those aged over 60 yrs.

Yellow fever is endemic in forty seven countries of which 34 are in Africa and 13 in Central and South America.
Yellow Fever is a viral infection that can be potentially life threatening. It is found in tropical regions of Africa and South & Central America, especially in the rainy season.
Yellow Fever is spread through mosquito bites. Fortunately, yellow fever yellow fever is unable to be transmitted from person to person. A number pf country will refuse access, if a yellow fever certificate is not presented, as countries don't want major outbreaks of this potentially deadly virus.
The yellow fever virus incubates in the body for 3 to 6 days. In most cases they are symptoms, but when they occur the most common are fever, muscle pain with prominent backache, headache, loss of appetite, and nausea or vomiting. In most cases, symptoms disappear after 3 to 4 days.
There is no treatment available for yellow fever infection. Supportive and intensive medical care is necessary in the toxic phase in order to support the body to clear the virus on its own.
Yellow Fever can be entirely prevented by pre-vaccination using a safe and effective vaccine as well as correct preventative measures against mosquito bites, such use of effective insect repellents and use of mosquito nets.
